Dashboard Ornament

A new family photo!!!

I have been wanting new family photos for what seems like forever. My awesome ward just had an equally awesome ward camp the past few days (photos of that to be posted soon)...and as a gift to each of the families they took family photos of each of us and gave us an 8x10! They set up 3 or 4 photographers at different posts and you could pick the spot you wanted for some fun family photos. Here is a taste of what I got. I can't wait to see how the rest turned out when my cd shows up!!!

Just because we wanted to...

This morning after attempting to put down a fussy Tex for a morning nap in which he refused to fall asleep for, I said to Eden, "Do you wanna go to the zoo today?" Of course, she said "Yes!" And 30 minutes later we were on the bus with a back pack full of granola bars and peanut butter honey sandwiches. And though the bus ride back home was a little crazy with 2 kiddos ready for dinner and bed, I'm still glad we went. Especially since they were tucked in by 6:30 tonight!

I couldn't believe Tex is big enough to stand on the little step at the monkey exhibit and see over the wall. I just can not believe it!
He didn't sit in the stroller, but instead just followed Eden and I all around the park. Though it feels like new found freedom for me, it is bitter sweet to realize again that my baby isnt' a baby.

As the bus pulled up to the Windward Mall, Eden looked out the window and said, "Hey Mom! Let's go to the mall. I wanna go to the mall." And I said, "You want to go to the mall? Instead of the zoo? Are you kidding me?"

"Yesssssss" She told me with a silly little grin on her face. Almost as silly as this one.

Just incase....

Hi Friends!

I just read this post from my friend, Brooke. Her Dad is a Lymphoma cancer survivor. He had a bone marrow transplant a year ago and is doing awesome. You can actually read about his awesome success story that she posted on her own blog a few months ago here.
She and her sisters wanted to participate in the Light the Night Walk, raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in hope to help find better treatments and cures for blood cancers so that patients can live better, longer lives.

She is such a great friend, I just wanted to help her spread the word from here. I know money is tight for most of us these days, but I know many of you who know my friend, and I imagine a few of you sweet softies would love to donate a dollar or 2 to a great cause if you could.

It's easy and secure. So if you would like to, just go here.

I'm not a Gambling Gal...

But, I'd be willing to put money down saying this is Dad's favorite thing about the weekend.*I'm sure glad I made my bed this morning....It makes for a much cuter photo op. ;-)

Brought to you courtesy...of the Red White and Blue!

We love America. We love our freedoms. We love the beauty that surrounds us. And we loved celebrating it all as a family with a BBQ, fire-works, and an after-party (the next day) at the beach and a little sneaking into the Turtle Bay pool!!

Me and a few of the radest Mom's I know went to a midnight showing of We made our own t-shirts, and those who could left their houses at 7:30 to save the rest of us ladies a seat! (You guys are super rad by the way).
And even though I got home by 3 AM, I had eaten WAAAY too much popcorn and gummy bears to relax and fall asleep till 4. Though Jonathon got up with both kids in the early morning hours, I just naturally woke up at 7:15 and there was no turning back.

SO...what do tired mammas do to survive the next day?
Take 'em to the beach and wear 'em out REAAAAL GOOOOOD!

Seen and Heard
Tex says: "Uh-Uh Oooooooh. Yook!!
I see: him pointing to his shoe as it floats down the sea shore
Felt: My heart melting and falling more in love with him

I love you...You love me!

How lucky were we to spend an evening with Barney and Baby Bop???? Considering they are 2 of Eden's idols...she was in heaven. Tex took a moment to warm up, but didn't take long to get in on the action and spin around a good 30 something times once the dance party began.Eden was so star-srtuck. After she met Baby-Bop, she ran up to me, grabbed me by the hand and told me I had to come meet her too. When we got to her, Eden formally introduced me to Baby Bop and looked so proud. It was too cute! ;-)

And even I couldn't help but get my groove on a little too! You know me...I can't say no to a good chicken dance and chance to make a fool of myself!
