Just so you know...

We are back! And I have some cute photos to prove that I survived yet another single Mom flight. 2 kids in towe with 2 car seats, 1 stroller, 2 luggage (1 carried on 1 checked-good idea mom)...where was I? Oh yes. My purse, Eden's purse, and my fanny pack.

It was a L.O.n.G 6.5 hour flight. The kids fared pretty well. Eden actually slept 2 hours. Tex a measily 30 minutes. But thanks to the sweet people surounding our seat assignment...we made it through rather pleasantly I'd say.

Since the nifty gadget I use to upload photos is still packed away, I can't entertain your eyes at the moment. Just your brains while you read. ;-)

But, as I type this it's 6:43...both kids are in bed. And one girl and her Daddy are still snuggling in her room...so precious.

We miss you mainland family, but it's good to be back together with Daddy again. Flying solo with 2 kiddos is no easy task, but when you get to have so much fun with great family on the mainland...it's worth it. Miss you guys!

What can I say? The boy loves ribs!!!

It was so cute listening to Tex smack his lips last night as he enjoyed his finger-lickin', lip smackin' good, Tony Roma's ribs! Unfortunately for his sister...dinner wasn't quite as enjoyable.

She was being a little silly on her chair, and fell off the side. My first thought as I looked at her arm with her hand hanging lifelessly attached "Oh no! It's broken."
I had her try to move it around, make a fist, touch her fingers together. After a few moments I started feeling like it was going to all be okay, now that her lifeless hand was starting to look a little more lifelike. But her thumb still looked a little odd and her hand was starting to swell. I gave her a dose of pink medicine, and kept an eye on it.

She didn't want to eat dinner anymore, so I let her go into "Bonnie's" room to watch a movie while we finished our dinner.

And her cute Uncle Micah didn't want her to be alone. So, he went in and hung out with her....what a sweety.

This morning she seems to be doing fine. She hasn't complained of pain. So, we somehow escaped that...THANK HEAVEN! Because a broken bone...in a state where you have NO insurance...can't be very fun.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This is not the amazing and sentimental birthday post I was wanting to write for you....but I didn't want the night to go by without saying something.

Tonight I'm just looking at the photos of our mini celebration we had getting gelato with the family before you had to head back to work (because you are just an awesome provider like that).

I can't wait till we are back together again for another celebration.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! We love and miss you....P.S. Congrats on passing your Substance Abuse Counseling Test!!!!!! YAY!...but I already knew you passed it before you told me. I'm psychic...and you're just smart.

LOVE YOU!

"Uh-Oh...Hannah Montana is sick mommy"

"Hannah Montana is sick mommy. She has a feber, and I gave her some white medicine."

"Is she all better? She looks kind of pale?"

How do you know when you have married your Best Friend?

When you have sat at a computer and talked through Skype for 3 hours...23 minutes...and 30 seconds...but you swear you couldn't have been chatting for much more than an hour.
Thats probably a good indication.

Are you kidding me?

So, there is this store called Fresh & Easy around the corner from my Mom's house...and I LOVE to visit it. It's a quick walk over there, and they always have tons of food on clearance.

I have always liked buying food when I visit the mainland. I just get a kick out of paying 20 cents a pound for oranges (as opposed to $1.19 lb). Or getting a gallon of milk for $2 instead of $5.50. It fills my inner desire to find a good bargain. Instead of buying another shirt I don't need, I just head to the grocery store for some 25 cent yogurt.

So, tonight my Mom and I thought it would be nice to walk the kids up to Fresh and Easy to see what we might find on clearance for dinner.

Well, while I was looking in the clearance bin I saw this bag of what sounded like delicious dried apple slices.

Right?

So, just now as I was avoiding going to bed (cause we all know it's way more important to catch up on blogs than it is to catch the correct amount of sleep), I thought, "I could use a little treat." So, I looked over the kitchen counter, found the bag of apples, opened it up, and took a bite.

To my dismay, it wasn't very tasty, and had a weird texture. And worst of all, it's scent had a slight resemblance to pee.

So, I turned over the bag and read this...

DOG TREATS? Are you kidding me?
No where on the package does it say DOG TREATS?

So, I look over the front of the package, because I am pretty sure that NO WHERE on the package does it mention that these are dog treats...and then, I notice this in a 6 pt font.

And of course there is that cute 1/4 inch dog in the back of the truck on the front of the package...so how could one not know that these are nasty dog treats?

Good thing I got them on clearance for $1.05 I guess....marked down from $2.99. And you can't feel bad about that! ;-)

Welcome to the new blog!

Good! I'm glad you found us at our new address 1234parkers.blogspot.com (since there is now four of us..hehe ;-)

So, thanks for running over this way... It feels so nice to be private now...thanks for sticking with me.

Just for you Daddy

A few photos from yesterday afternoon. Grandma was home with sick little Tex, while Eden and I ran to have a good time at the playground. On the way home I found a perfect spot to snap a few black and whites.

It was funny at the playground. Usually Eden would play and play at the playground till the sun goes down. But, yesterday, after playing for about 25 minutes she said, "Hey Mom! Mom. We need to go home and watch Micah race cars. K?"
When we left, her Uncle Micah was playing a race car game with a friend over...and I guess we just couldn't miss out on the fun. ;-)

"You coming Mom?"
