Following My Mom's footsteps...

I've fallen off the blog bandwagon for a few weeks. I have been trying to get back into it over the past few days.

But, this month my mom took up the challenge to blog something about each letter of the alphabet. Each day, a new letter.

She is already on the letter I. But, I'll go ahead and start with A today.

A is for AWESOME! My kids are awesome. And being their mother is awe-some. Today, I was reading a friends blog. And in her "about me" section she simply stated, "My husband works for [yadda yadda] and I am a stay-at-home Mom to [my kids]." And it hit me. I am a stay-at-home Mom. That is my job. I choose each day to stay home with Eden and Tex. And they are the most important people to me. Aside from my husband of course. Because without his willingness to bring home ALL the bacon, I couldn't stay home with my awesome kids.

I have been in a funk lately. I assume it's hormonal imbalance which causes depression sometimes. Making me often feel like a failure. And I don't share any of this with you to make you feel bad for me, or worry about me. I just assume you might have noticed. So, I thought I might mention here that I am feeling a lot better lately. I am feeling a lot more mE! ;-) And today, I think my kids are AWESOME! And I am glad that is it ME who gets to stay home each day with them.

Not that you need anymore photos to prove how great my kids are, but here you go anyway! I just found these good oldies!

Lucky to have great neighbors!!!

I have been blessed with 3 awesome neighbors. They are always willing to loan me this and that, or baby-sit last minute. I've always wanted to have a little get-together with the mom's. You would think we hang out every day...but we all have our different schedules.
But, today we girls pulled off a little suprise party for Isa. She is having a birthday this week. We kept it small. Small meaning 4 mom's plus 8 kids and 2 extra's that Isa baby-sits.

Isa is an amazing friend and mother. She is litterally the kind of person to give you the shirt off her back, key to her house, even the last bite of her ice-cream. Definately the sweetest person I know. And today we were able to celebrate her!!

It was great to have everyone together, the kids running about, and enjoying the fruits of my organizing labors. I couldn't believe my yard could hold all 14 of us and keep the kids safe and entertained!

From waht I heard...the food was delicious! (I'm finishing up my juice diet today, so no pizza for me.) But, I found a delicious pizza bite recipe off this AMAZING food blog. ourbestbites.blogspot.com Do yourself a favor...go there NOW! ;-)...well, after you look at the pictures of course.

Happy Birthday Isa! Thanks for being such a great friend. I am so lucky to have you as a neighbor. Please never leave!

Dusting off the 'ol camera...

I feel like it's been a while since I snapped any fun photos of my kiddos. Today, I switched on the water-hose, let the sweet little crazies run their hearts out, and snapped away. Vualla!!! I can't wait for tomorrow to do it again!

A fun morning suprise....

Usually Tex wakes up at 6:45 on. the. dot. Crazy how kid's do that!
Actually here is a typical morning:
I wake up around 6:43 and think... "Awesome! Everyone is still asleep. If I hurry and get ready maybe I can squeeze in a quick run before the day begins!"

I head to the bathroom as quiet as a mouse, and a moment later hear my little man...ready to start the day!

But one not so normal morning, I woke up to a lot of laughter, and went in the kids room to find this~

What is cuter???

Dirty Baby?

Clean baby?

The kids have been having a blast lately digging in the "garden". I have some great dirty photos somewhere......another posting, another day. ;-) Did I post these already?

Happy School drop-outs. ;-)

No, not us. We love happy school. But this last friday we were short 3 of our students (and we missed you guys!!). But still, we learned about letter V. We made our own cars out of boxes, and made V shaped soft pretzles. Then we snacked on our snacks while watching the movie Cars for a bit. It was a fun and low key Happy School Day!!

This is the way we sweep the floor, sweep the floor!!

I'm a lucky mommy to have such great helpers!!! They both just love to sweep, and I vaccuum up their little piles. Cute little kiddos!
